STANDARDS AND EVALUATION BRANCH

BACKGROUND

The Standards and Evaluation Branch is responsible for the formulation of policies for preservation of standards and safety in all Nigerian Air Force operations and facilities. The Branch has 4 directorates as shown on the screen.


Directorates under the Standard and Evaluation Branch
  • Directorate of Evaluation

    The Directorate of E valuation (DOEVAL) is the precedent directorate in the Standards and Evaluation Branch. It is responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of standards in the NAF. It is headed by a pilot with an established rank of Air Vice Marshal (AVM).

  • Directorate of Safety

    The Directorate of Safety (DOSAF) is responsible for formulating safety policies in the NAF. It is also responsible for monitoring the implementation of NAF Safety Management System. It is headed by a pilot with an established rank of Air Commodore (Air Cdre).

  • Directorate of Manuals

    The Directorate of Manuals (DOM) is responsible for the collation and publication of all existing rules, regulations, traditions and policies into various air publications, manuals and pamphlets. It is also responsible for the allocation of control numbers to NAF forms. The directorate is headed by a regular officer with an established rank of Air Commodore (Air Cdre).

  • Directorate of Research and Development

    The Directorate of Research and Development (DR&D) is responsible for the direction, coordination and implementation of all research and development efforts in the NAF. It is headed by a regular officer with an established rank of Air Commodore (Air Cdre).
