BACKGROUND

1. Air Cdre Friday Jibrin Ogohi was born on 7 Jul 67 at Okura Lafia in Dekina LGA, Kogi State. He attended LGEA Primary School, Okura-Lafia, from 1974 to 1979 before proceeding to Ochaj Boys Secondary School from 79 to 84.

COURSES ATTENDED

2. Thereafter, he attended Fed Poly Idah from 85 to 87 and NDA, Kd from Sept 88 – Sept 93 with a BEng Degree in Elect/Elect and was commissioned as a Plt Offr into the NAF. He also attended RECTAS-E, (UN), OAU, Ile – Ife with a PGD in Remote Sensing and GIS from 2010 – 2011.

APPOINTMENTS HELD 

3. Friday was deployed to ACMD, Ikeja Lagos from 93 to 95 before attending the YOC Int at the NA Int Sch, Apapa, Lagos, from Mar – Jul 95. After the course, he was appointed as the OC Tech Int at DAI, HQ NAF Annex, Esugbayi, Lagos from 1995 – 1997. Thereafter, he was posted to AFMS, Jos as Academic instructor from 97 – 98 before he became the SO – CDS from 98– 99. He attended JC/50/00 at CSC, Jaji from Aug – Dec 00 and thereafter attended the DIOC at DIS, then in Lagos from Oct 03 –Apr 04. From there he proceeded for the SC/27 at CSC, Jaji from Aug 04 – Jul 05. In between these periods of trg, he held several appointments as Unit IO, NAF Det Calabar, 25 TTG (AFIT), Kd and NDC, Abuja. The Offr served as SO 1 Int, DAI, HQ NAF, Abuja, from Dec 06 - Jul 10 before he was depl to DIC, Karu as PSO Log from Jul 10- Feb 11. He was the CO 109 SIG, Lagos from Feb - Dec 11 and thereafter became the Force Int Offr, QRF Minna from Jan – Dec 12 before he was appointed as the AD Ops (Air) at DHQ, Abuja from Jan – Nov 13. Another posting took him to HQ NAF as DDAI from Nov 13 – Feb 16 before he became the Dy Comdt, DIC, Karu from Feb – Aug 16. He was a Dy Director Int/Sy at DHQ from Jan 18 – Jul 19 before he became the Comd 015 SIG from Jul 19 – Oct 20 and later the DAI in Oct 20 before transforming to the CAI in Nov 20. Thereafter, he became the Director of b Intelligence at DIA. He had his 2nd spell at SIG from Jan – Jul 22 and later DINT at HQ NAF (AIB) from Aug – Dec 22, thereafter posted to DSA as DD Guidance. Currently, he is the CAI HQ NAF. The snr offr attended the NDC, Abuja from Aug 16 – Jul 17 and thereafter proceeded to the Chicksand, United Kingdom for International Intelligence Directors Course.

MARITAL STATUS AND HOBBIES 

4. He is happily married with 5 children and like playing Lawn Tennis and watching football at his leisure time.
